Ronnie Draper

SFD Exam Stream Director

Rhonda Draper was born to dance, starting at the age of 2.5 years. After studying ballet, jazz and tap, Rhonda opened her own dance school, Studio D, which she successfully ran for 25 years.

 

She was both the Principal and main teacher for the SFD Exams at her school as well as organising her students to dance at many events including the Grand Prix, the Moomba Parade and charity events such as the Make a Wish Ball and the Dance Cancer Initiative to name a few.

 

Rhonda has been teaching for over 30 years and has an incredible love and passion for all styles of dance. Rhonda also runs her own popular dance competitions and is a highly regarded Examiner for the Southern Federation of Dance.

 

She wishes nothing more than to pass her technique and knowledge on to all her dancers, as well as mentoring and fostering all her students to enjoy every minute. Highlights for her have been taking her students to dance in America several times and to also training with the Bolshoi Ballet School in New York.

Zoe Chan

Ballet & Tap

 

Zoe has been dancing for 12 years now, with experience in the styles of ballet, jazz, lyrical and tap. She began at the young age of 5, and since then, cannot imagine her life without dancing. She has completed Southern Federation of Dance exams in ballet from Level 1, to Pre-Elementary.

 

Her speciality is tap dancing. She has completed exams, from Level 1 to Level 8, and has achieved Honours with Distinction, the highest mark possible, from Level 5 through to Level 8. Currently, Zoe is working towards her Level 9 and 10 tap exam.

 

Despite being new to the teaching world, she has had student teaching experience in ballet and tap for over 6 years, developing not only her leadership skills, but also her dance skills. In 2023, her class showcased their newfound skills in the Pacific Elite concert.
